NNPBC 2025-26 Membership

The 2025 renewal period begins on February 1, 2025 and runs until March 31, 2025. Members who opt to renew their NNPBC membership during this time will have active NNPBC membership for the 2025-2026 membership year. The NNPBC membership year runs from April 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026.
 

Please note that you may choose to purchase NNPBC membership at any time. While the majority of nurses and nurse practitioners renew their NNPBC membership at the same time as their annual registration through the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, NNPBC membership can be purchased through our website at any time.
 

2025-2026 Membership Categories

Category Definition
Practicing Member RNs, RPNs, NPs and LPNs who hold practicing registration with the BC nursing regulatory college

Practicing RNs currently studying to become NPs

Voting Member
Non-Practicing Member RNs, RPNs, NPs and LPNs currently registered as non-practicing nurses with the regulatory college Voting Member
Student Member Individuals currently registered in a recognized nursing program in BC and beyond, leading to registration as a nurse of any designation, and who are not currently registered as a practicing nurse of any designation Non-voting Member
Retired Member Individuals previously registered with the nursing regulatory college either in BC or another Canadian jurisdiction, in good standing at the time of their retirement, and who otherwise would not qualify as a Practicing or Non-Practicing Member Non-voting Member
IEN (Internationally Educated Nurse) Member An individual intending to pursue licensure as a nurse of any designation in BC and whose nursing education took place outside of Canada Non-voting Member

The annual fee for 2025-2026 membership is $55.00 for all categories.

Breakdown:   $52.38 + GST = $55.00 total
This is a one-time annual payment of $55.00 for the 2025-2026 membership year.

Purchase 2025-2026 Membership

Nurses of all designations may choose to purchase their NNPBC membership for the 2025-2026 year at the time of their registration renewal through the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). To do so, please complete your BCCNM registration and select the Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC) membership option.
 

Nurses of all designations, as well as Student, Retired and IEN Members may purchase their NNPBC membership for the 2025-2026 membership year directly through our website.

What is the 2025-2026 membership year?

NNPBC's 2025-2026 membership year runs from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026. However, if you purchase your 2025-2026 membership any time starting after February 1, 2025, you will have access starting after that date.

What do I get with NNPBC membership?

NNPBC members have full access to programs and services including member events, professional development offerings, professional practice support, and policy and government relations updates; resources and tools including the nursing job board and research tools; and engagement opportunities via NNPBC's nursing designation Councils. How do I access the CNPS PLP group rate?

In BC, RNs, RPNs and NPs registered with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives are also beneficiaries of professional liability protection (PLP) through the Canadian Nurses Protective Society (CNPS). If you opt to become a member of NNPBC at the time of your renewal with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, you will also benefit from the CNPS group rate:
