Join or Renew Your NNPBC Membership

NNPBC membership is distinct from registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Registration with BCCNM is required to practice. Membership with NNPBC is voluntary and focuses on supporting you and the profession.

How to join or renew

The NNPBC membership year runs from April 1-March 31 annually. Many members join when they register with BCCNM, however, membership can also be purchased directly from NNPBC at any time.

Option 1 — During your annual BCCNM registration renewal

  1. Complete your annual registration renewal with BCCNM.
  2. When prompted, select Nurses and Nurse Practitioners of BC (NNPBC) for membership. Becoming an NNPBC member will give you access to discounted professional liability protection (PLP) through CNPS, which is required to register for RNs, RPNs and NPs.
  3. Your NNPBC membership and CNPS PLP group rate (if applicable) will be processed together at your time of registration with BCCNM.
  4. You will receive an email directly from NNPBC with information about your membership.

Option 2 — Directly through NNPBC

You can purchase NNPBC membership at any time through our website.
