RN Certified Practice DST - Revision History

In March 2020, the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) transferred over responsibility for the review and maintenance of the Certified Practice Decision Support Tools (DSTs) and Competencies to NNPBC. NNPBC in collaboration with multiple stakeholders has developed a governance structure and review cycle to guide the creation, evaluation, revision, and/or retirement of DSTs. Detailed summaries of DST revisions are included in the table below.

NNPBC’s Professional Practice team works closely with the Certified Practice DST Steering Committee and Working Groups to ensure that DSTs align with current nursing processes and reflect the principles of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for optimal client care.
