Bilingual (French-English) Nurse Practitioner: Santé Ouest, Community Health Centre

Position

This position is for a bilingual (French-English) Nurse Practitioner capable of providing comprehensive primary
care within a Francophone community health centre, using a team-based model of care.

 

About RésoSanté & Santé Ouest

RésoSanté C.-B. is a provincial non-profit organization that helps connect all healthcare stakeholders to better
serve Francophones in the province. Affiliated with RésoSanté, Santé Ouest is a newly established
Francophone community health centre in Vancouver. The centre offers integrated and inclusive services to
community members while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Registered in good standing with the BCCNM as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Up-to-date CPR-HCP certification.
  • Training in Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) is an asset.

Skills & Competencies

  • Commitment to the health centre’s goals and health promotion.
  • Sensitivity to cultures and the specific needs of diverse populations.
  • Experience with clients who have complex needs (substance use, mental health, vulnerable families).
  • Interdisciplinary teamwork and consideration of the social determinants of health.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide longitudinal primary care in French, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Conduct consultations and physical examinations, and analyze test and X-ray results.
  • Provide counseling and information regarding health status and treatments.
  • Coordinate care follow-up and refer to necessary resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date medical records.
  • Contribute to health promotion within the Francophone community and participate in the centre's
    activities.
  • Participate in service quality evaluations and personal professional development.

 

Working Conditions

  • Group insurance (health and dental) after 3 months.
  • Flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, occasionally during evenings and weekends.
