General
- Research the unit, employer, and organization you are applying to.
- Find out as much about the interview as you can (how long will it be, how many people will be interviewing you, confirmation of date and location).
- Reflect back on your work experiences to ensure you have examples to refer to when asked.
- Practice out loud in order to ensure you are able to articulate your knowledge, skills and competencies.
- Bring extra copies of your resume, cover letter, and references.
- Familiarize yourself with the organizations' mission and values, and think about how you align with them.
- Always ask questions if given the opportunity to do so.
- Send a follow up note after your interview.
