Nursing is a political act. Nurses are well-positioned to advise on issues that impact patients and communities, and are often the first to identify health inequities. Advocacy requires nurses to utilize their expertise, promising practices and evidence, to inform decision makers and government. Advocacy through the ARNBC provides all RNs and NPs with opportunities to create real change, and improve the health of British Columbians.
