Indigenous Nurses Day is celebrated on May 9th, 2018 as part of National Nursing Week. It's a day to celebrate the contributions of Indigenous nurses to the health and well-being of Canadians.
The "Strengthening Aboriginal Nursing Development" (STAND) program was established to provide a pathway for leadership development for Aboriginal nurses working in British Columbia.

The "Strengthening Aboriginal Nursing Development" (STAND) program was established to provide a pathway for leadership development for Aboriginal nurses working in British Columbia.

Canadian Nurses Association (CNA)
One Indigenous nurse will be selected to attend the Canadian Nurses Association Biennial and AGM, June 18-20, 2018. This all-expenses paid opportunity will enable the successful applicant to connect with colleagues, hear exceptional speakers and gain valuable leadership experience.Canadian Indigenous Nurses Association (CINA)
One Indigenous nurse will be selected to attend the Canadian Indigenous Nurses Association AGM and pre-conference workshop in conjunction with the National Community Health Nursing Conference on June 26, 2018.
