My empathy, training and experience will never be replaced by any machine or diagnostic test.

Nursing demands ongoing education, training and upgrading, this pushes me to be all that I can be, my skills are ever increasing.

I love the responsibility that nursing has given to me.

I have over 40 years of experience in a multitude of clinical settings, I have never been without a job and job offers have freely come to me. Nursing has given this to me.

When I volunteer in the community, I am eagerly accepted as I am a Registered Nurse.

Nursing has given me a broad base of experience as there are so many ways of being a nurse. I have experienced everything from birth to death. I have held my patient's hands, and we have shared our hearts. We have cried together and we have rejoiced together. We have shared happy and exciting times, as well as grief and sorrow.

I have made a difference in my patent's lives, as I cared for them physically, spiritually and emotionally. The dedicated and skilled nurses that preceded me were my role models.

Nursing is rich and rewarding, it is more than a job, it is the caring, compassionate and capable person that I have become.

I have always been proud to say "I am a Registered Nurse".
