You should be extremely proud of your accomplishments and how the association has flourished under your leadership. You have instilled a vehicle for nurses to exercise their professional voice in a way that is respectful and critically reflective. As the ARNBC motto says "your voice is our strength", I think that the Board has re-claimed that for ALL nurses in BC. I am proud of my involvement with ARNBC and appreciate that as nurses we are bringing the patient experience (our experience) to the for-front and in doing so you are meeting the vision and mission of the association whole heartedly.

You have steered the Association ship through turbulent times and never lost sight of the beacon that has guided it from the beginning. I am in awe of the commitment you have shown to the nurses of BC, and to ensuring that the public of this province benefits from the professional wisdom of nursing as it applies to the public policies and issues that shape the conditions for health. You have also inspired a new generation of nursing students and emerging practitioners to take up the torch and lead the Association forward. So well done, and we are grateful.
