Indigenous Health and Nursing Policy Table

NNPBC’s Indigenous Health and Nursing Policy Table is comprised of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licenced practical nurses and psychiatric nurses with a variety of experience, expertise and knowledge in Indigenous health in the traditional First Nation’s territories in B.C. The objective of this policy table is to advise NNPBC, the B.C. Coalition of Nursing Associations and key stakeholders on key policy issues and solutions that impact Indigenous nursing and the health of Indigenous peoples in British Columbia. The policy table members meet on a regular basis and provides leadership, expertise and Indigenous ways of knowing in moving NNPBC’s Indigenous health and nursing portfolio forward.

New Grad Nursing Policy Table

NNPBC’s New Grad Policy Table is comprised of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licenced practical nurses and psychiatric nurses who are new graduates within their first five years of practice. The objective of the New Grad Policy Table is to provide NNPBC, the B.C. Coalition of Nursing Associations and key stakeholders, with the direction to act on and continue to identify key policy issues and solutions that impact new graduate transition, retention and leadership within the nursing profession. The policy table members meet on a regular basis and provide leadership and expertise in moving NNPBC’s new grad nursing portfolio forward.

NNPBC’s Rural and Remote Policy Table is comprised of registered nurses and nurse practitioners practicing in rural and remote communities. The objective of this policy table is to provide government and other key stakeholders with a mechanism to communicate with rural and remote nurses to identify policy issues and solutions that impact nursing and the health of patients in rural and remote British Columbia. The policy table meets on a regular basis, and provides leadership and expertise in moving NNPBC’s rural and remote health and nursing portfolio forward.

Sexual & Reproductive Health Policy Table

NNPBC's Sexual and Reproductive Health Policy Table is comprised of nurses who have experience, expertise and leadership roles in the field of sexual and reproductive health. The objective of this policy table is to work with NNPBC, government and other key stakeholders to identify issues, key policies, strategies and solutions that impact nursing and the health of patients throughout BC regarding sexual and reproductive health care. The policy table meets on a regular basis, and provides leadership and expertise in moving NNPBC’s sexual and reproductive health and nursing portfolio forward.
