Continuing Professional Development (CPD) reimbursement is provided to encourage Independently contracted Nurse Practitioners to maintain high professional standards through continuing education, participate in professional activities, and have access to evidenced based clinical information and skills. CPD is the platform to ensure professional licensure and certification.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This funding is provided by the Ministry of Health via NP Provincial Initiatives and Programs (NP-PIP).\u00a0\u00a0This compensation is only available for primary care NPs working in publicly funded settings (PCN independent contractors and CHC employed, and those employed through the First Nations Primary Care Initiative). This compensation is<\/span>\u00a0not<\/strong>\u00a0available to NPs working in for-profit settings or to health authority employed NPs.<\/span><\/p>\n
