The deadline to submit nominations is 4pm on May 10, 2020. No exceptions or extensions.
Nomination Process
Step 1: The nominations process
- Familiarize yourself with the open positions on each council (as shown above) and ensure that you understand the obligations and role of a councillor by reviewing the relevant Terms of Reference. You should also be familiar with the NNPBC bylaws.
- Review the Mission/Vision of NNPBC.
- Nominees and their nominators must be members of NNPBC and be of the same nursing designation. For example, anyone running for the RN council must be an RN member of NNPBC and their two nominators must also be RN members of NNPBC.
- Review NNPBC's Governance model and structure.
- We encourage all candidates to speak with the President of the council they are running for. Doing so affords an opportunity to learn more about the NNPBC Council structure and to ask any questions you may have. To do so, please email info@nnpbc.com to be put in touch with the relevant Council President.
- While not all nominees choose to campaign, we recognize that some may want to. Should you choose to campaign, please read the Campaign Guidelines.
- Download and complete the Nomination Form.
Step 2: Assemble and Submit your Nominee Package
Make sure you have the following before proceeding:
- A written profile of the nominee. (Profiles will not be edited by NNPBC. Anything over 300 words will be cut.)
- A photo for use on the website.
- The above mentioned completed Nomination Form.
Be sure to gather all materials before filling in the Nominee Package Form as you will not be able to save the information and return to it later.
The deadline to submit nominations is 4pm on May 10, 2020. No exceptions or extensions.
Please note, all nominees and their nominators must be active, practising NNPBC members in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. Nominators must be of the same designation as the nominee. Each nominee will require the support of two nominators.
